(Handwritten note: W N C called 16/8/38) We have to acknowledge with many thanks receipt of your letter of the 11th. inst., and are in general agreement with the remarks contained therein. We shall be pleased to obtain samples for trial purposes of the Long 12.C.B. clutch from America, which we can convert to the C.F. type with little difficulty, but feel that it would be to our mutual interest for you to visit our Works as soon as possible with a view to discussing this and other matters in relation to which we have written under separate cover to-day. As advised, the Writer will be on vacation for the next two weeks but our Mr.Armitage is fully conversant with the whole matters which we have discussed of late and it will be quite convenient for him to see you on either Monday or Tuesday of next week. Will you therefore be so kind as to endeavour to make arrangements accordingly and to advise Mr. Armitage as soon as possible as to which particular day you propose to call.
