Continued:- In view of the foregoing it would appear that the resistance unit should be modified so that the maximum current permitted by the field fuse before it blows can be passed through the resistance unit without generating sufficient heat to cause a fire. We would mention that the regulator unit was sealed at the time of the occurrence and no work on the electrical system had been carried out during the time the car was here.
