Expl. Dept. 8609². Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.6/MJ. 23rd. January, 1936. Messrs. C.A.V. Bosch Ltd., Acton, LONDON, W.3. Dear Sirs, We have been experiencing considerable trouble with C.A.V. regulators fitted to our cars due to the adjustment of the regulator varying after only short periods of running on the car. In one particular case the output of the dynamo was lowered by as much as 5 amperes due to this cause, resulting in a discharged battery. We understand that this change in regulator performance is quite a common occurrence on this type of regulator and we should be interested to know if you are experimenting with any modification which will maintain the adjustment of the regulator more consistently. Yours faithfully, For Rolls-Royce Ltd. | ||
