For the attention of Mr. F.{Mr Friese} D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Smith.
Dear Sirs,
We have to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 7th instant confirming your visit to our Works on Friday last and would advise that the driven plate which you returned is receiving our immediate attention and we hope to place same in your hands in the course of the next few days.
In regard to the pressure plate spring load, we suggest that this may be reduced from 1932-lbs to 1750-lbs, this being based on the maximum engine torque figure of 356-lbs.ft.
We shall not hesitate to keep you advised regarding the Long clutch as soon as we have information available.
Yours faithfully,
BORG & BECK COMPANY LIMITED.

P.S. Since dictating the above we would confirm telephone conversation with Mr. Robotham wherein we advised that the driven plate is now ready and the writer will bring same along when visiting your Works to-morrow.
