You might, however, as a temporary expedient, alter the angle of the cone belonging to the low speed jet so as to make it about twice as rapid. If we do not adopt this arrangement, we might adapt the lever so as to lift this spindle when starting the engine, as suggested by Mr Ionides. Find out which of the three you prefer.
