| To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to CJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X8520 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}5/M7.11.25. X.8520 X.235 NEW PHANTOMCodename for PHANTOM I SHOCK DAMPERS. We send herewith N.sch.2085 shewing the proposed new hydraulic shock damper. The position on the chassis is slightly higher than the existing friction shock damper, and a longer connecting rod will be needed which may involve some work on the wings. We shall deal with this point later if necessary. We believe that the drawing itself is self-explanatory. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
