With reference to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG16.10.25, and PN{Mr Northey}1/DN17.10.25, copy attached, I have been under the impression recently that By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and others had come to the conclusion that it would be no use instructing people to tighten their shock-absorbers beyond our usual standard, because they will not stand it, and it would only lead to disappointment to the customer and continuous complaints. Please discuss the matter with By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} so that we may arrive at some definite conclusion before this alteration is standardised. B.J. | ||
