17th. Dec. 1918.

When Mr. Wormald and I were at West WitteringHenry Royce's home town, Mr. Royce suggested that a circular memo should be sent round to all our Depots stating that when there are any complaints of detonations, we should recommend a mixture of benzol and petrol - 25% benzol and 75% petrol. We take it that Mr. Platford will see that these instructions are sent round.

2048 Mr. Royce expressed the desire to have the 4-cylinder R.R. car which formally belonged to Mr. Burt for his own use at West WitteringHenry Royce's home town. Mr. Royce ought to be advised as to how long it will be before this car can be sent to him and what type of body it is fitted with and a general specification of the chassis.

We are also wanting to fit a set of aluminium pistons to 1713 car. When we have decided on the type we will supply you with cylinders and pistons so as not to hold up the car.

EH.
