Revolving test of Front Cross Members. X.213 We have now fixed up the big face plate and bolted on a piece of frame with a cross member fixed in place. The load applied is 100 lbs at 12" and is run at 200 r.p.m. If a greater load is put on there is much a lot of spring in the frame one way that the load is thrown off. The load of 100 lbs bends the frame quite a lot and we are running it with this load. file X.457 - Steering Wobbles. Some little time ago I sent in a report containing a list giving the degree of reversibility of various makes of steering. I am repeating these tests but with some load on the steering wheel as suggested by Mr Royce. X.178 - Nea Magneto. This is the latest type magneto and has been fitted to 1926 car now being run on the Continent by Mr Johnson. The latest report says that it is working satisfactorily. The car has covered upwards of 2800 miles. X.580 - Leather Covers for pedal plate slots. One set has been fitted to 2100K and they seem to keep | ||
