of the mileage. Upon examination the K.L.G. plugs gaps had become considerably burnt. The gaps had increased to .033" maximum. The LODGE plugs had not deteriorated to any extend, the gaps being .018 to .020". With the fitting of three new K.L.G. plugs the missfires entirely disappeared. The LODGE plugs are therefore superior.

WATER PIPES - E.54252.

The new water pipe to the throttle body has not cracked or fractured at this mileage.

RADIATOR & FITTINGS LOP.EB.1089-LeC.3613-3470.

E.B.818 Springs fitted in end fixings in place of rubbers.
EB.1084 Steam Escape pipe.

The water level in the radiator has kept at one inch above the matrix, no water has been added since leaving Derby. The shutters are sluggish in operation. The water temperature rises at times to 90°C, before the shutters open, it then falls immediately to 70°C. The average water temperature has been 85°C. With the shutters held wide open the average temperature is 75°C. The wind pressure on the slats prevent them fully opening. The anchorage of the radiator causes a squeak by the springs rubbing on the side of the cups. These are not central. A small boss on the bottom of the tank for the fastening of the shutter frame fouls the cups of the anchorage and prevents maximum movement of the radiator.

DISTRIBUTOR TOWER LOP DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}79.

No slackness has developed in the distributor tower bearing. The contact points are in a very good condition and no increase in the gap has taken place, set to .015", at 5000 miles .015". There is an entire absence of oil in the contact chamber.

CAMSHAFT LeC.3543.

Balancing cam to LeC.3543 incorporated.

There has been no audible engine gear rattles with the fitting of the balancing cam to the camshaft. Up to this mileage the brake block on the dynamo drive have been operative.
