Sir Stanley White, Bart.,
Hollywood Tower,
Westbury.

Dear Sir,
We have heard from London that you are complaining of a rattle in the transmission of your car when getting away from rest. They suggest that you would like somebody to come down and discuss the matter with you.
We rang you up to-day to discover whether there was anything else on the car which was causing you dissatisfaction, because if the rattle when you let your clutch in is the only point in question, we are familiar with the trouble and the best thing to do is for you to let us have the car when you can spare it and we will do what we can to cure it.
If there is something else which is of a controversial nature, we shall be only too pleased for somebody to come down on Wednesday next as you suggest.
We have written to Mr. Fedden once or twice about his car but have not yet had the opportunity of trying it, though we have read with interest his comments on it.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
