RE. 40/50 STARTER MOTOR WITH ALUM: BRUSH HOLDERS ON 98-NK CAR.

This motor has now run 10,335 miles. Upon inspection, the brush holders and brushes were found to be in good condition and the brushes were well bedded in. The commutator was quite clean and showed no signs of burning or bad commutation. Enquiry in the test, from Mr. Lidsey, shows that no trouble whatever has been experienced with this motor during the whole of the 10,000 miles run and has behaved well in every way.

From this result there seems to be no reason why aluminium brush holders should not be standerdised on the 40/50 starter motor.
