Lis. from EY. C. "B" Dept. C. "G" C. Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} C. Ms. C. EFC. RECEIVED SEP 2 1920 X.3723 CHASSIS - FRONT & REAR AXLE. RE DUNLOP WIRE WHEELS FOR CHASSIS 1251 ONWARDS. I would remind you that we are making a big effort to bring in Dunlop wire wheels suitable for straight sided tyres at approximately the above chassis. We do not, however, remember seeing a standardisation sheet for this and we shall, of course, have to push this number back unless the standardisation sheet in question is duly signed up at an early date. The D.O. should note that the correct way of specifying the above wheel, as compared with the present E.5. wire wheel is, "Dunlop wire Wheel, Rim section suitable for 8832 x 4 1/2. Tyre actually used 33 x 5" This note should be incorporated on the Part List. The O.O. should note that the new type of wheel must not be definitely ordered until the standard-isation sheet is signed up and we definitely instruct them that this is the case. They must carry on with the present standard E.5. wheel until we definitely instruct them to change. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
