HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E has clearly tried to get a crafty one in on HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, but has reckoned without HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}'s phenomenal memory & knowledge of what's what. E E would have to include this memo. C with its undertones, going to CJ CJ -> DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} also to DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} whom FJ consistently & over many years played down & finally snt. manorial. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} was a great & gifted designer, completely devoid of guile, as absolutely afore found in all his dealings. R had great confidence in DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} to be copied with everything except the engine (E's baby). This involved massive & ever growing problems - Steering, road holding, springing, brakes, gearbox, rear & front axles, bodywork. In comparison, the engine was a 'better job'. Since DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}'s promise was clear f'engines,' why should HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} have sent him a copy? there is an unmistakeable 'bite' in this memo. | ||
