DA {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} was a great & gifted designer, completely devoid of guile, as absolutely afore found in all his dealings. R had great confidence in DA {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} to be copied with everything except the engine (E's baby). This involved massive & ever growing problems - Steering, road holding, springing, brakes, gearbox, rear & front axles, bodywork. In comparison, the engine was a 'better job'. Since DA {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} 's promise was clear f'engines,' why should HS {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} have sent him a copy? there is an unmistakeable 'bite' in this memo. | ||
