Hancock - Head Chateauroux}2/LGS.11.26. EXHAUST PIPES - 12-EX CAR. X7230 X8230 Owing to the continued distortion of the down take pipes, the pipe leading from the hot spot on carburetter became too short and blew out at the joint. Upon examination of the down take pipes, after lagging had been taken off, they were found to have become very much scaled, and at the right-angled bend the pipe had become almost eaten through. The front down take pipe had also lengthened out approximately 1.5" due to the continued expansion and contraction. The distortion of the rear down pipe, had dislocated the working condition of the throttle valve; the loss of movement of the valve being quite 75%. These pipes were the same as used on standard cars. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} | ||
