TO BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} OM/X7230L DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M18.11.26. C. to -BY- HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} EAC.7. EXHAUST SYSTEM. X7230 Replying to BY/CGH{W Clough}9/G51126., we send herewith N. schemes 2303/4., on which we suggest some modifications to the proposals shewn on Schs. 805/6., bringing them more into line with the supports on the present car. We notice that the position of the exhaust system is approximately the same relative to the frame as on the existing 40/50. We had contemplated at one time raising the silencer slightly in order to improve the ground clearance. We should be interested to know whether you have any special reason for maintaining the relative position between the frame and the silencer. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
