Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 23rd inst., and note that you are returning to us 1 Pair of Side Lamps which were delivered by our fitters as samples in connection with the fitting up of your experimental chassis.

We note your remarks re the Silencing of the E.575 type Dynamos, and beg to advise you that in addition to tapering the air gap, we are arranging for the skewing of the armature slots and the testing and inspection of all ball races.

With regard to your request for Specifications of the lighting and starting cables which we propose to supply for your cars, we are arranging for actual tests to be carried out on these cables, and will communicate our results as early as possible.

We should like to point out, however, that this question of sets of cable to your order is still in abeyance as we understand modifications are required to the lengths fitted to your Experimental chassis. You will remember that 25 sets of cable to definite lengths were ordered by you, but these were found to be unsuitable for your experimental car, and we suspended work on these sets until such times as you were able to supply us with the modified lengths.

We shall be glad to know if you are now in a position to give us the definite lengths required.

Yours faithfully,

JOSEPH LUCAS LIMITED.
