Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd.,
Nightingale Road,
Derby.

Dear Sirs,

Referring to our telephone conversation with you this morning, we beg to advise you that we are despatching to you the following cables, which we hope will be sufficient to enable you to wire up 7 cars :-

160 ft. 60/22 Single Tinned Copper Braided Cable.
200 ft. 64/38 " " " " "
80 ft. 4 core " " " " "
80 ft. 113/38 Twin " " " " "
520 ft. 36/38 " " " " "

We are also sending you a short piece of cable shewing how the side lamp adaptor should be fitted on to the cable, and we wish to emphasize that it is most important that the fitting should be carried out in accordance with the sample.

We very much regret that owing to the proximity of the holidays and that arrangements have already been made for our works to close to-morrow(Thursday night) it is impossible for us to send a man to your works.

Our works re-open on Monday, the 11th prox, and we shall be pleased for a man to undertake the fitting at any time after that date if you will advise us.

Yours faithfully,
JOSEPH LUCAS LIMITED

Electrical Department.
