At the Midland Hotel Conference held on the 25th October, 1922, it was arranged that Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} should call at Sales to discuss certain matters with regard to the short circuiting of standardisation sheets. Owing to no arrangements having been made between W. and S. as to what time this Conference should take place at Sales, when Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} did arrive at Sales, BJ. was out.

B.J. has asked me to see that in future whenever any arrangement has been come to between W. and S. that a Conference should take place at Sales on any matters, that Sales should be informed at what time the representatives from W. will arrive at Sales. Would you kindly see in future that Sales are informed at what time you will arrive at Sales, and also that they are informed if you are not able, for some reason, to attend at Sales.
