C O P Y. EFC. PC.12. Jan. 9th.1924. TEST OF 40/50 MICA CONDENSER OF LARGER CAPACITY No.4M. This condenser was fitted to 4.EX on 24.8.23. on which car it has run 3,138 miles. No trouble was experienced with the ignition during that period. The capacity of the condenser when first put on was .34 mfds., while the capacity now is .331 mfds. The contact points (5Al) had already run a considerable number of miles, and were just faced up when the condenser was fitted. They were again faced up after running 2,181 miles with the new condenser, so that the surface they now present has been acquired in the 957 miles run since last being attended to. There appears to be very little of the platinum tip left, but what remains has a clean, level, but slightly rough surface. CAP. | ||
