Dear Sirs, re:- Special Touring Saloon/GZU-24 - for Coachwork experiments. --------------------------------------- The writer wishes to confirm his remarks to your Mr. Carpenter during his visit to your works on Friday last concerning the above car. The Body is a Standardised Hooper Special Touring Saloon and will be fitted to chassis GZU-24 which you have received. (1) CHASSIS. This car is fitted with a special bonnet. We wish to use this bonnet and confirm that you will modify the scuttle of the body to suit it. We also wish you to build up the dashboard to suit the bonnet and fit bonnet rests. The writer will arrange for Derby to supply you with a set of standard bonnet rests, as used on the standard 25 H.P. Rolls-Royce. The extra moulding on the bonnet below the standard moulding should be removed and the holes filled by welding. The moulding on the scuttle should match up with the standard Rolls-Royce bonnet moulding. We agree to your suggestion that the bonnet sides should be lowered by welding on extra pieces. -1- | ||
