-2- 3. Mechanised tracks to be used. Special attention to be given the following details:- (a) Body truck to be evolved having a degree of torsional rigidity that will counteract track discrepancies. (b) All assembly jigs to be constructed of steel and to be provided with steel testing gauges for daily check of critical location points. (c) Spot-welding assembly jig to be erected on a substantial base plate. (d) In planning the Paintshop it may be worth investigating the possibility of synthetic enamel finishes super-seeding cellulose. Such a step would eliminate the costly polishing operations (approx.10% of total paint work labour costs. (e) Plastic sound-deadening compound, applied by spraying, shows a cost saving. (f) Body panels to receive Deoxidine wash before application of priming coat. Wings (if steel) and other small panels to be Bonderised. (g) Trimming operations to be broken down to small units, special attention being given to quick attachment devices. (h) Rigid inspection of all "bought out" material. 4. Estimated Labour Costs.
