Referring to your C26/C29.3.22 and to our telephonic conversation this morning. It is our intention to deliver this chassis from the works to Maythorns, Biggleswade on Wednesday or Thursday morning next week.

I explained to you on the 'phone, it must be clearly understood that the condition of the car is the same as the one he has taken to Mr. Royce also the one which Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} is running as the Express Car for 10,000 miles in France, on which cars we know there are certain faults which we feel will have to be overcome before the cars will be fit for delivery to a customer.

We should, of course, like to modernise this car so as to overcome these faults but we are not in a position to do this and to deliver the car by the date mentioned, in fact, there would be at least 3 weeks' delay under the present condition at the Works before such could be done.

We will follow up this chassis through the Coach-Builders and will try out the car complete and pass it over to you as a complete car. We trust that you will take up the importance of the urgency with the Coach Builders.
