Park Ward & Co., 473, High Road, Willesden, LONDON.N.W.10. Dear Sirs, re Wide Frame 25-HP. R.R. --------------------- We wish to confirm the arrangements which we made with you during our visit on December 6th last. (1) We drew on the full size drawing the position of the servo on a second and modified gearbox which may be used subsequently on this chassis. In order to make the body suit both gearboxes we agreed to use a U. section steel crossmember immediately behind the hand brake quadrant. This crossmember will be such that it can be detached when mounting the body and slightly moved in position if found necessary. (2) We wish to lean the cast wheel arches slightly towards the centre of the car at the top, so as to give 1/4" more tyre clearance when the axle is on the maximum bump. This change slightly raises the rear wing, and gives an increased clearance between the tail of the wing and the petrol filler, which is a virtue. (3) We agree to a swept shape for the ends of the rubber strips on the step and the joint between the step and the wing. (4) Trap doors in the rear boot should be provided to enable a rear brake adjustment to be operated | ||
