| - 2 - EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/HP. Messrs. Park Ward & Co. ----------------------- similar to the rear brake adjustment on the Bentley. (5) We wish you to go ahead with the front wings and running boards as quickly as possible, so that these can come to Derby and be fitted up on the chassis at least a fortnight before the completion of the body. The finishing of these wings, their mounting and painting takes about 10 days, while the mounting of the body may take a little more than a day. We left with you a picture of the crossmember, but have still to send you the final shape of the apron, and the wing stay and lamp bracket fixings. (6) We have still to send you particulars of the side wheel carrier feet, and the exact detail of the petrol tank filler. All this information will be available in a day or two. We wish to confirm that it was agreed to work overtime on this body and to do anything that is possible to speed up its completion, as Derby will be ready for the body in about 10 days time. The writer will call on you early next week and will be glad if you could have a front wing roughed out and fitted for him to inspect. Yours faithfully, For and on behalf of ROLLS-ROYCE Ltd. | ||
