W/S. Bt.{Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. H/DW. B.63.BL - R.R. Jackson. H/DW.12/RH.{R. Hollingworth}5.8.37. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/R.9.8.37. As far as we know we were able to satisfy Mr. Jackson on all the points that he raised with the exception of headlamp movement. We explained to him that the headlamp dither could be reduced by:- (1) Reverting to the original small Lucas lamp. (2) Fitting a crossmember between the headlamps. An exact figure was given to him by the Repair Dept. with regard to the cost of fitting the additional crossmember. Since this interview we have heard nothing further from this gentleman, so we do not know whether he decided to have the modification carried out or not. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
