To Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} 261 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}3/AP.7.8.37 Re. B.186.GA - E.G.Kleinwort. B.42. FB.- Flt.Lt. Staniland. The above two cars, in addition to Mr.Hall's Saloon, were fitted with Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}303 levers without bushes GB.1070 in the upper bearings, which are now running steel to steel. The reason for this error in fitting was that the hole in the lever had been drilled too small to receive the bush. When the cars are available the hole in the upper end of the lever should be opened to 0.5625 dia (as on GB.1069) and the bush GB.1070 pressed in.
