Recommendations to address inaccurate machining of bushes and to supply depots with modernised jaw clutches.

-2- increasing the bore of these bushes .012" in order to allow for the above mentioned inaccurate machining, and avoid further recurrences of similar failures. I also recommend that we should be in a position to supply to our Depots, with full instructions on this matter, improved and modernised jaw clutches, piece No. G.6490, and bushes G.6498, so that they can deal with chassis which may not yet have been delivered to the customer, or if such is the case, to deal with them when they are in their hands for attention, or in case they have complaints. I should also be glad if you will issue instructions to the Works immediately, to avoid further gear boxes being built up or erected into chassis unless these points have been corrected as above described. Also, will you please arrange for the stock of these starter clutches which they now have ready for use, to be corrected in this respect.
