W/P - Sr. X1245 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/KW.21.5.36. 4 1/4 litre Bentley. Replying to Sr/Dn.8/MLG.14.5.36. We have sent you some bits to improve your braking. The idling is a development job which will take some time. To deal with your oil pressure we are sending you a large oil pump. If you get into trouble with oil consumption we can let you have some turned rings which will improve matters. The back axle thrust race will have to take its chance. We can do nothing about clutch jaggers except send you a new centre plate, which we are doing, and asking you to make sure that there is no excessive slack anywhere in your transmission. The places where we should look for slack are the wheel drivers and the splines on the propellor shaft. We should like to hear whether you are coming over here for Whitsuntide or not, so that we can make some arrangements. If you can come we shall be delighted to see you. The Works close on Monday and Tuesday. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
