BENTLEY CHASSIS B.59-DK. - DE KERNAVANOIS.
--------------------------------------------

Levallois

With reference to Sr/VA.8/ET.19.5.36. a Depot Sheet No. HD.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}301 has now been circulated in connection with the above, on which it is specified that all cars should be examined as they become available in Depots, and cross members changed if cracks are detected.

In reply to the last paragraph of your memo, if you discover any cross members to be cracked on chassis which arrive in your Depot, and the strengthened cross members are not available, we consider that they should be removed and the present standard type fitted.

In view of the above, no doubt D/EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} will arrange for four of the present standard cross members to be despatched immediately.
