BENTLEY 111. GEARBOX. Herewith is FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}115 servo drive, with damper control pump and speedometer drive adapted to the new gear box. The speedometer drive as shewn is suitable for Bentley lll, but if large variations are needed in the speedometer shaft speed when the box is used on other models to suit varying axle ratios and tyre diameters, the drive is probably too inflexible and a separate speedometer gear box will have to be provided. This may offset the saving effected by using a common speed-ometer for all cars and requires investigation before being decided upon. In the meantime the features shewn here shouldbe added to the gearbox detail and other details proceeded with. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
