BENTLEY 111. GEARBOX AND SERVO.

PD.144 herewith shews a modification to the boss of the fulcrum of the servo balancer suspension link, which is necessary to avoid an internal foul between the actuating mechanism and the boss as originally drawn. The pattern should be modified to this.

There is also shewn on this drawing a changeover lever for the rear brake operation, which enables the rear brake rod to be in a position which will suit either the linkage shewn on PD.138 or that of the simplified type now being schemed, so that whichever linkage is adopted, no change is needed to the connections to the rear brakes. We understand it is considered possible to detail this lever without delaying the job, so we are arranging our back linkage to suit it.

Urgent Bentley 50 details. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}
