EAC.10 & 14 CRANKSHAFT AND CONN. RODS.

We send you herewith Lec.2488 shewing the revised crankshaft and conn. rods for EAC.10 and 14.

The crankpins are the present standard dia. and length. The crank webs are 1" between the collars instead of 1.075", the increased dimensions being added to the main bearings with the exception of the rear.

The intermediate bearings bushes are increased in length by .150" but the crankcase remains unaltered. Nos.1 and 4. bearing bushes remain their present length, but naturally have increased end clearance.

The bore of the conn. rod has now been taken right through to facilitate [strikethrough]andxetexxxxxx.[/strikethrough] manufacture.

Since the little end has to span the hole thus formed we call for phosphor bronze for the bush instead of duralumin or magnesium.

The stem of the rod has been slightly reduced in dia. The big end shell is substantially of the same thickness as the previous design, but is made to suit the larger diameter. [strikethrough]and[/strikethrough]

The crankshaft will go into an existing crankcase [strikethrough]xx[/strikethrough] will take the standard rods.
