Messrs. Newton & Bennett Ltd.,

Acton,
LONDON.W.3.

For the attention of Mr. N.B. Newton.

Dear Sirs,

We have now been able to test the clutch plate you made for us over a long period of Service, and whilst its performance has been promising, there has been a deterioration in the take up.

We should now like to try a similar plate but with .060 cushioning. As regards the high moment of inertia, we are regarding this as a secondary problem and propose to retain the steel plates in this second disc.

We are very anxious to have an early delivery of the disc, and trust you will urge it forward. We shall send you a hub and rivets in the course of a day or two.

An official order follows.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
