(2) FLOORS. The whole of the front floor in front of the sliding seats to be supplied and fitted by Derby. The sunken rear floor to be constructed in sheet metal (steel or aluminium), and lined with thin wood if desired. No part of the floor need be made detachable forward of the rear seat. The rear seatboard should have a hole to permit the removal of the battery, and the floor of the luggage container should have a trap door to allow for the removal of the tank fittings. Floors to be covered with sponge rubber and suitable carpet. INSTRUMENT BOARD. To be fitted in position given but left 10ins. deep in the centre and straight across the bottom so that the instruments may be fitted by Derby and the board cut to suit and polished. SCUTTLE ISOLATION. See N.Sch.3486. The bonnet to extend to the windscreen. TOOLS. Road tools to be carried under the bonnet either infront of or aft of the dashboard. All other tools to be in a drawer over the luggage trunks. The drawer to pull out into the body. SPARE WHEEL. Recessed into the rear of the body as drawn and covered with a metal cover. LUGGAGE. The cases (not to be provided) to be removed by a hinged rear squab. BODY ACCESSORIES. Recessed lamp in scuttle rail with its own switch, and supplied by ourselves. Ashtray to scuttle rail only. At the moment it is not intended to fit electrical direction indicators. WEIGHT. Every effort should be made to produce the complete coachwork below a weight of 5 1/2 cwt. The complete coachwork should be weighed before delivery to avoid subsequent controversy as to the apportionment of the total weight of the car. TONNEAUX COVER. A cover of the material of the hood is to be provided for the rear seats when not in use. DELIVERY. Date to be fixed later. FINISHING INSTRUCTIONS. To follow. DRAWINGS APPLICABLE TO THIS BODY.
