PARK WARD? SPORTS OPEN TOURER.
BENTLEY "B" MODEL. (BENSPORT).
SPECIFICATION OF COACHWORK.

CHASSIS.
Bentley "B" Model. "F" Type Steering. Chromium finish throughout. Rims. 18ins. tyres 5.50ins. Full details of the chassis are given in the schemes supplied.

TYPE OF BODY.
OPEN SPORTS TOURER. see N.Sch.3479.

SEATING.
Four seater. Two sliding bucket seats in front on the light type Leveroll fittings. Rear seat to take two, with folding central armrest and armrests on the side of the doors. Pneumatic cushions and hair squabs to all seats.

FRAMING.
Body to be very lightly framed in English Ash and built with steel wheelarches .056ins. thick. made by the coachbuilder. The bottom sides which extend forward from the steel wheelarches will need to be of plywood or Plymax, used edgewise due to the narrowness of the body. Full particulars of the chassis are given on N.Sch.3487. the layout for the Sports Saloon, and it is not intended to supply a layout for this body.

DOORS.
The cut of the doors is the same as the slope of the screen. To avoid the doors falling to when open we suggest that the hinge sectors be cut on an angle to counteract the gravitational tend-ancy to close. Consideration should be carefully given to the use of concealed hinges, such as used on similar bodies on other cars. Each door should have a pocket. No door is fitted on the side cut away to clear the driver's right arm.

HOOD.
The hood should be of a very light and simple construction in metal only, and must fold down compactly. The covering will be of light twill. Rests to be provided for the hood when down and a cover of the same material as the hood. At the present it is not proposed to provide any form of side curtains. x

WINDSCREEN.
Single piece fixed screen of Triplex. .187ins. thick. Dual electrical screen wiper at the base of the screen. or alternatively at the top.

SCUTTLE VENTILATION.
As the bonnet extends up to the windscreen ventilation will be by air ducts from below the floor. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} will go into this detail on the full size drawing.

WINGS.
Front and rear wings to be finished as far as possible and fitted and painted by Derby. Wings to be made of aluminium 14 S.W.G. centers and 16 S.W.G. sides. No stone gaurds. The steps are to match up with the sweep of the wings, metal covered and fitted with rubber strips to match the paintwork. Staybright kick-plate along the edge of the steps.
