FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} C. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ST.{Capt. P. R. Strong} ORIGINAL SECRET. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. ENGINE - GENERAL ARRANGEMENT. X5770. We attach herewith a print of LeC. 2891. shewing quarter scale external views of J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. engine in position in the chassis. Both R.H. and L.H. steering boxes are illustrated in the elevations to shew the relation of this part to the accessories of the engine. The 'Z' shaped front cross member shewn on LeC. 2888. is economical of room and if we use this it would enable us to move the engine a little further forward giving more clearance between dynamo and steering box if thought desirable. A print of LeC. 2891. is attached for BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
