| X8793 Extract from Mr. Minchin's letter M {Mr Moon / Mr Moore} /5. of 15.5.28. I have not kept the mileage as accurately as I ought to have done but I believe that the Lucas magneto has done between 20 and 22,000 miles, and as far as I have been able to prevent it, the points have not been touched in this distance. I do not know what the state of them is as I did not examine them. Right up to the time of taking the machine off it was very quiet and fired absolutely evenly at the same low speeds that so much surprised you at Derby. Doubtless you will make a much more thorough examination and you will let me know in due course your findings. | ||
