The reserve of two gallons in the back tank was discontinued at the time when the K.S.Telegauge was standardised on this car. We now use the small reserve in the Autovac tank itself, similar to Phantom ll; this will not be necessary on reversion to the main tank reserve scheme, due to the fact that the induction pipe depression is capable of drawing petrol from the rear tank to the Autovac when the engine is turned over by the starter motor.
