SERVICE COSTS.

Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} told us that Zeniths were charging 10/9d. for carrying out the modifications to 25/30 carburetters which have recently been introduced to improve the functioning of this accessory.

These modifications are -

(1) Alterations to the idle feed.
(2) Leather cup in the piston.
(3) Counter bored choke valve bearing.

We have taken up the matter with Zeniths and pointed out that they have benefited considerably from their association with us, and they have passed on modifications which we have originated, to their other customers. In view of this fact, we asked them to share in the expense of rectifying customers' complaints, so they have agreed to go fifty-fifty with these charges and we have accepted this as being a fair way of dealing with the matter.

We understand from Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} that the total sum involved should not greatly exceed £50 per year.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}
