W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
D E R B Y.

Dear Mr. Robotham,

I have now had further information from America concerning the availability of the AAV type of carburetter, and I therefore refer back to my letter of the 15th June, where I gave approximate prices for this type of carburetter.

The situation is in America that they only make two sizes of the AA{D. Abbot-Anderson} carburetter, 30 m/m and 36 m/m, and no carburetter exists in size 42, as would be necessary for the PHANTOM III. Therefore, I will only deal with the twin 36 m/m carburetter, which is known as AAV-2.

We can purchase this carburetter complete from America with hand-control strangler, but with inter-connection between this and the throttle, i.e. a similar sort of control to what is now employed. This will cost a little extra, and the price will be between 81/6d. and 84/6d.
