Re: Chassis No. I B IV.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} has passed to us your memo. of the 4th inst. on the subject of the temporary importation into France of various parts for the above car.

We detail below a list of the parts despatched so far, and we should be glad if you would advise us which of these have been imported temporarily, so that we may watch the point of duty refund in due course.

We appreciate that to send a considerable quantity of spares for one car touring abroad is rather suspicious, and we are now authorised by Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} to arrange for duty to be paid permanently on any goods on which the duty does not amount to more than £10.

If it would be better for all parts to be shipped through The General Transport Co. at Boulogne, kindly confirm and ask Mr. Guillain to send us the necessary instructions as you suggest.

Mr. Fisher is bringing an Axle Tube complete today as per copy of invoice E.9700 attached, and as the duty will be slightly more than £10, we presume that this should be temporarily imported.

25.7.33. E.9669 Petrol Pump, Exhaust Box etc. Per Mr. Roberts
31.7.33. E.9684 Expansion Box and Brake Straps etc. per Mr. Pattinson
1.8.33. E.9685 Front and Rear Springs via The General Transport Co.
5.8.33. E.9698 2 SU Petrol Pumps via The General Transport Co.Paris
8.8.33. E.9700 Axle Tubecomplete per Mr. Fisher.
