To Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.17/KW.24.5.35. Re Depot Sheet No.269. This Depot Sheet, dealing with tramping complaints, increases the front shock damper loads from 70 lbs. to 105 lbs. However, as we experienced trouble with the 70 lbs. load damper coming loose on the frame, and in consequence fitted the strengthened suspension plate N.Sch.3972 at the 76th chassis in 'B' series, we consider that it is unsafe to increase the front damper loads to 105 lbs. on chassis previous to the 76th in 'B' series without fitting the strengthened anchorage. There is a form of this anchorage N.Sch.3972, for converting existing cars, detailed under FB.1030/1. Will you please arrange that this is fitted to the chassis in question.
