S/W. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}..from PN.{Mr Northey} Copy to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} RC{R. Childs} x7960. PN.{Mr Northey}1/WT16.11.32. Thermostat Springs. About ten days ago two thermostat springs were received from W. which were intended to be used in connection with the thermostats on our "Phantom II" trials cars. One of these has been fitted to 48-MS and I am making enquiries as to which other car is not already fitted with a spring. Meanwhile it would appear that our trials car GAU-14 equally would be benefitted by a similar treatment, and I wish to know whether one of the springs referred to would be entirely suitable to go into the thermostat of this 25 H.P. car. It appears to be difficult to maintain a temperature of over 65º on this car in its ordinary work at the present time. I shall be glad of your remarks please.
