We have decided to have a preliminary run in France with a large bore unit in the steel-bodied car belonging to Sales. Will you therefore please build a new unit, B-18, to the following specification :- Crankcase. Stiffened type with spread stud centres, 20/25 dynamo speed, geared starter motor, Hall's metal bearings. Crankshaft, Spring Drive & Timing Gears. Standard production. Connecting Rods. EB.2374, EB.2220/2. Hall's metal. Pistons. Aerolite with strengthened gudgeon pin boss. Cylinders. Block EB.2561. Head Ex.18392 or EB.2560 (these are identical). Flywheel & Clutch. Ex.18198, 10" Borg & Beck. Starter ring to suit geared starter. Oil Pump. Ex.11936/41. Valve Gear. BY/CS.3/EH.31.8.35. New rocker cover to be issued very shortly. Other Particulars.
