The cause of the trouble was found to be due to the following: After a certain mileage and depending upon whether an ower makes frequent use of or is hard on his brakes, a certain amount of wear takes place in the 3 G.54285 bushes as fitted to the Inner Pressure Plate. As the end of the 3 G.52130 dowel pins are not flush with the end of the bushes the wear which takes place produces a fairly pronounced lip or uneven wear in the bushes, and prevents the free movement of the Pressure Plates owing to the ends of the dowel pins fouling against the lip. We suggest that if the dowel pins were made about .080" longer it would prevent the above from taking place. Sr/VA. (Signature) | ||
