LEFT HAND "SS{S. Smith}" CHASSIS.

I have discussed the above matter with Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}
and as we are in a position to start issuing instructions, he has instructed us to order up three complete cars for the above.

Will each Dept. watch pattern work particularly, and forgings where such are special, and push through instructions particularly on the patterns as early as possible.

For E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Dept's information in connection with the camshaft and tappet, I propose to merely hand the operation.

For RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}'s information we add the crankshaft, connecting rods, and pistons are standard.

The cylinder head and cylinder blocks have had bosses and faces added to make them suitable for both.
