Expl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}4/MJ. Jan. 21st.1930. Messrs. H.M. Hobson Ltd., 47 - 55, Acton Vale, LONDON. W.3. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Major Searight. We thank you for your letter of the 20th.inst. We hope that we have not over-stated the case when we said that there were a number of failures on our cars, but the statement was made on the strength of information from our London office. Actually, on Experimental cars we have never been so free from trouble. We believe that you are in touch with Lee Evans of Cricklewood but suggest that you ring up Mr. Percy Northey of Conduit Street from whom we had our information, and ask him to let you deal with any cases which come to his knowledge. The only case of failure that I have under consideration is the one I mentioned on the Prince of Wales' car. Yours faithfully, For Rolls-Royce Ltd. | ||
