Re Hobson K-S Telegages.
Dear Sirs,
We are in receipt of your letter of the 18th inst., and beg to inform you that the two gauges which we are modifying for you will be sent from here on Wednesday night next.
We regret the delay, but this has been unavoidable, as we had to have a pattern alteration made, and some special castings taken off, in order to incorporate the modified spring fixing, a sample of which you sent us, in what we thought was a satisfactory manner.
We tried modifying several existing castings, but they did not come out satisfactorily.
We hope that these modified gauges, if despatched on Wednesday night, will be in time for your test cars.
