1034 Experimental Dept. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GR.{George Ratcliffe}10/JH. 4th January, 1936. Messrs. The Zenith Carburetter Co.Ltd., Honeypot Lane, Stanmore, Middlesex. For the attention of Mr. A.E.Palmer. Dear Sirs, With reference to D.C.42 choke valve spring EX.777 we find that these springs wind up choc-a-bloc before the choke valve is fully open. The present production spring has already been strengthened as they certainly do not correspond with the original P.17068 drawing. I have not received any notification of this alteration and as the present production spring meets requirements, will let the matter drop. I have not yet received the (9) E.E.C.42 byepass jets size .055" re my letter of the 9th December. Will you please send these along as soon as possible. Wishing you all the best for the New Year. I remain, Yours Faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
